In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 118 requests for assistance this past week, Feb. 22-28. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 15, Animal Control 17, Assist Other Agencies 23, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 59, Summons 8.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On February 23, 2021, officers arrested Trey L Bryan, 32, of El Dorado Springs for the probable cause of No Operator’s License, Possession of Paraphernalia, No Proof of Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On February 24, 2021, officers responded to 217 West Marshal Street concerning a Domestic Assault.  A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 25, 2021, officers arrested Crystal Heuser, 39, of El Dorado Springs for Polk County Warrants, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Fail to Yield with a $100.00 cash bond and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $100.00 cash bond.  She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 25, 2021, officers responded to 125 North Main Street, Sun Newspaper, concerning a reported attempted burglary.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 25, 2021, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department conduct a search warrant at 1104 South Jackson Street, continuing an ongoing investigation. Officers located a firearm, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Officers arrested James R Willmore, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of two counts of Possession of Control a Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Use of Firearm, Drug Paraphernalia (Meth), Distribution of a Control Substance. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of a Weapon with no bond.  He was transported to Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.  Also arrested was Crystal Heuser, 39, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On February 26, 2021, officers responded to 405 East Martin Street, concerning a reported theft and tamper of utilities. A suspect has been identified, report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 27, 2021 officers responded to 700 South Park, Apt 9, concerning a reported domestic disturbance. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 27, 2021, officers responded to 101 East Spring concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of pudding cups and a Harley Davidson ring. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 28, 2021 officers responded to 215 West Joe Davis for a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a bank bag, a check book, two Credit cards and $3,000.00 cash. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 28, 2021 officers responded to 205 West US 54 Highway concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 28, 2021 officers responded to 302A South Kirkpatrick concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a cell phone and a tiger’s eye pendant. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 28, 2021 officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle concerning a report of Larceny from a Vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a Tactacam 4.0 Hunting Action Camera and a Custom Mauser Rifle with a Leupold Scope. A report taken and the investigation continues.

The department received a total of 117 requests for service
