In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 113 requests for assistance this past week, May 31-June 6. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 17, Animal Control 14, Assist Other Agencies 19, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 9, All Other Requests for Assistance 54, Summons 8.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Mendelsohn at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On June 8, 2021 officers responded to 901 South Jackson concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a man’s wallet, cell phone and dog. A suspect identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 8, 2021 officers responded to 408 North Grand, Apt 37, for a report of larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Missouri Driver’s license, Simmons bank card and an undisclosed amount of us currency. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 9, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store concerning a reported assault. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 9, 2021 officers responded to 323 West Hightower concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle.  The investigation revealed the theft of a purse containing a debit card, SSN card, Woods card, and EBT card. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 10, 2021, officers responded to 200 McCrary Circle, Apt 12, concerning a reported assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Tyler M Wilkins, 29, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Assault. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.  Also arrested was Mystical D. Diaz, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 10, 2021, officers arrested Louis M Stockdale, 28, of El Dorado Springs, for a State Probation & Parole Warrant with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On June 11, 2021, officers responded to 400 East Hospital Road concerning a reported larceny of prescription drugs.  A report taken and the investigation continues. 

The department received a total of 113 requests for service.
