In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 97 requests for assistance this past week, Nov. 29-Dec. 5. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 14, Animal Control 14, Assist Other Agencies 13, All Escorts 2, Nuisance 1, All Other Requests for Assistance 53, Summons 14.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On November 29, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a gallon of milk. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Brandy J. Drake, 35, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with shoplifting. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On November 30, 2021, officers responded to 405 South Vernon concerning a domestic disturbance.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Lucas M. Emerick, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 1, 2021, officers responded to 605 East Fields concerning a Domestic Assault.  A suspect was identified, report taken and the investigation continues.

On December 1, 2021, officers arrested William A. Hunt, 49, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 2, 2021, officers responded to 504 East Fields Trailer E3, concerning a Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher A. Gray, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault Third Degree. Officers completed a probable cause statement for the charges.  Officers received a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with two counts of Third Degree Domestic Assault with a $5,000.00 cash bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On December 3, 2021, officers responded to the area of First Street and Pine Street concerning a suspicious person. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Erin M. Jones, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On December 3, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a wall charger and charging cord. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Amy R. Inman, 41, of Stockton, for the probable cause of Shoplifting and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On December 3, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a reported shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a salad. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On December 5, 2021, officers responded to 114 West Broadway concerning a structure fire. Upon officers arrive the structure was fully involved in fire. The El Dorado Springs Fire Department arrived and began fire suppression operations.  The structure was vacant with no utility services.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On December 5, 2021, officers arrested Amber R. Koerner, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Driving While Revoke with a $157.00 bond.  She was released on bond pending a court appearance.
