In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 87 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 17-23. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 5, Animal Control 15, Assist Other Agencies 15, All Escorts 2, Nuisance 11, All Other Requests for Assistance 39, Summons 4.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On January 18, 2022, officers arrested Shane T. Lakin, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Spring Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear with a $611.00 bond. He was released after a court appearance.

On January 18, 2022, officers arrested Korey L. Wegner, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants, charging him with Stealing, Larceny, Theft, 2 counts of Trespassing and Tampering with a $1,406.00 bond. He was released after a court appearance.

On January 18, 2022, officers arrested Andrew G. Vessey, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Obstruction- Failed to Obey Judge, and Traffic Offense with no bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On January 18, 2022, officers arrested Cody L. Marshall, 25, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges Failure to Register Motor Vehicle, Operating Motor Vehicle owned by another knowing owner of vehicle has not maintained financial responsibility, with a $250.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On January 19, 2021, as a result of the traffic stop officers arrested Scot R. Irish, 28, of Largo, Florida, for the probable cause of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Officers completed and submitted a Probable Cause Statement to the Cedar County Prosecuting Attorney for these charges.  Felony charges were declined and Irish was released on misdemeanor summonses.

On January 20, 2021, officers arrested Tyler M. Wilkins, 30, of Macks Creek, for a Cedar County Warrant for Probation Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with no bond, and El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Assault with a $231.50 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond or court appearances.

On January 21, 2022, officers responded to 209 West U.S. 54 Highway, Woody Motors, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Missouri Dealer Plate.  A report taken and the investigation continues. The plate was recovered by Webb City Police.

On January 21, 2022, officers responded to 200 McCrary Circle concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of personal information stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 23, 3033 officers arrested Landon A. Rock, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Non-moving Traffic Violation with a $200.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.
