Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 86 requests for assistance this past week, Feb. 21-27. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 7, Animal Control 8, Assist Other Agencies 12, All Escorts 2, Nuisance 9, All Other Requests for Assistance 48, Summons 6.

Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On February 22, 2022, officers responded to 105 West U.S. 54 Highway, Smoker Friendly, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a ceramic rolling tray, OG kush stash can, silicon pod stash, elephant tapastry, glass E & W stash cans, metal prods and a tray. A suspect has been identified, report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 22, 2022, officers responded to 311 East Spring, apartment 2, concerning an assault. A suspect has been identified a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 24, 2022, officers responded to 319 South Ohio concerning an assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 25, 2022, officers arrested Dennis J. Spiva, 43, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants charging him with Animal at Large and Vicious Animal with a $187.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 25, 2022, officers responded to 115 West Walnut concerning an ambulance assist for an injured person. The victim was identified as Christopher S. McNeely, 46, of El Dorado Springs. McNeely was transported from the scene by ambulance. He later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation revealed no apparent evidence of foul play. The investigation continues.

On February 26, 2022, officers responded to 211 East Hayden concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed theft of property from 4 storage units. The property stolen are listed as jewelry, ammo, gun safe, knives, shoes, 2- 12 inch sub woofers in a box, fishing reels, jeans and cast iron cookware. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On February 26, 2022, officers arrested Nathan A Lamb, 21, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrant charging him with Property Damage with a $181.50 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On February 26, 2022, officers arrested Anthony M. Brubaker, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle with a $150.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.
