The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 94 requests for assistance this past week, March 14-20. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 5, Animal Control 13, Assist Other Agencies 19, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 5, All Other Requests for Assistance 52, Summons 7.

Police Report
On March 14, 2022, officers responded to 705 South Jackson concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Vizio 55 inch Smart TV, two Google Chromebooks and a Roku Streaming box. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 14, 2022, officers arrested Talon K. Stern, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear, on the original charge of Operate a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Manner, with an $82.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On March 15, 2022, officers arrested Loren R. Ruehler, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for a Hickory County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding with a $1000.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On March 15, 2022, officers arrested Louis Stockdale, 29, of Springfield, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear per Court Order with a $574.00 bond. He was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.

On March 15, 2022 officers assisted Cedar County Sheriff’s Deputies and Nevada Police Department at 1506 south Missouri 32 Highway concerning a stolen motor vehicle investigation. This investigation resulted in the arrest of Arron M. McClain, 34, of Blue Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Resisting Arrest. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging McClain with Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $5,000.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance. Also arrested was Tori N Bailey, 21, of Independence, for the probable cause of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On March 15, 2022, officers responded to 504 East Fields concerning a larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of an Acer laptop and a duffel bag of clothes. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 16, 2022, officers responded to the 900 block of South High Street concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Krista S. Jarvis, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for a Barton County Warrant, charging her Non-Support of Parent with a $100.00 cash bond and Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging her with a Traffic Offense with a $633.00 cash bond. Jarvis was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearance.

On March 18, 2022, officers responded to 700 East U.S 54 Highway, Family Dollar, concerning a shoplifting. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and this investigation continues.

On March 18, 2022, officers responded to 500 East Fields, trailer number 7, concerning an Assault. Suspects were identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 20, 2022, officers responded to 405 South Vernon concerning a Peace Disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Becky R. Crowder, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant charging her with Aggravated Assault with a $10,000.00 bond. She was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On March 20, 2022, officers responded to 1307 South Missouri 32 Highway (Old Woods parking lot) concerning Unlawful use of a Weapon. Officers seized a firearm. A juvenile suspect has been identified and referred to the Juvenile Office.
