In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Dec 5 – Officers responded to 1408 South Summer concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. Investigation revealed the theft of a black and gray Under Armour Back pack. Investigation continues.

Officers responded to 1410 South Summer concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. Investigation revealed the theft of a set of binoculars, game camera, three check books, three debit cards and keys. Investigation continues.

Officers responded to 207 South Belisle concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. Investigation revealed the theft of coins and a pack of Marlboro Black cigarettes. Investigation continues.

Officers responded to Cedar County Memorial Hospital concerning a reported assault that occurred at 215 West Martin Street. Investigation revealed that victim was shot in the leg by a small caliber handgun. Investigation resulted in the arrest of J. L. Murphy, 18,  El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of first degree assault, armed criminal action, second degree burglary and six counts of stealing. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant, charging Murphy with assault second Degree and armed criminal action with a $25,000 bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance. Additional charges are expected concerning thefts from motor vehicles.  Also arrested was Keith L Johnson, 23, Nevada, for a Nevada Municipal warrant charging him with failure to appear on payment plan for trespassing with a $615 cash bond, a Vernon county warrant charging him with failure to obey Judge’s order on the original charge of possession of controlled substance with no bond, and a Bates County warrant charging him with stealing with a $20,0000 cash bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County jail pending court appearances. This investigation resulted in the recovery of property stolen from motor vehicle.

Arrest: Tianna D Murphy, 23,  El Dorado Springs, charging her with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on summons pending pcourt appearance.

Dec 6 – Officers responded to 317 South Ohio concerning a violation of an ex-parte order of protection. A suspect had been identified and the investigation continues.

Officers responded to 219 North Main concerning a reported violation of an ex-Parte order of protection. Suspect had been identified and investigation continues.

Arrests: Joseph M. Burnett Jr, 39, El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County warrant,charging him with endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs 1st degree with a bond of $25,000. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearance.

Gregory R Zielinski, 48, Safford, AZ, for a Boone County warrant for failure to appear on original charges of first degree yrespassing and second degree property damage with a bond of $79.50. He was released on recognizance.

Dec 7 – Officers responded to 1101 South Jackson concerning a reported burglary. Investigation revealed the theft of a letter opener and fire extinguisher. Investigation continues.

Dec 8 – Officers responded to 331 West Broadway concerning a reported larceny. Investigation revealed the theft of a dog kennel, dog house and feeder. Investigation continues.

Dec 11 – Officers responded to 115 West McCrary concerning a reported larceny. Investigation revealed the theft of a backhoe. Suspect has been identified and investigation continues.

Officers responded to 500 East Fields, #26, concerning a reported domestic assault. suspect has been identified,and investigation continues.
