Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 99 requests for assistance this past week, March 21-27. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 9, Animal Control 16, Assist Other Agencies 17, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 9, All Other Requests for Assistance 48, Summons 4.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Mendelsohn at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On March 22, 2022, officers responded to 115 West McCrary in reference to a stolen bicycle. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On March 23, 2022, officers served a search warrant at 700 South Park Street Apartment # 7 resulting in the arrest of Jimmy Dalrymplem, 47, of El Dorado Springs for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Possession of Stolen Property with a cash only bond of $2500.00, and the arrest of Megan Pike, 37, of Nevada, for the probable cause of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dalrymplem was transferred to the Vernon County Jail. Pike was released on citations pending a court appearance.

On March 25, 2022, officers responded to 504 East Fields Trailer D6, in reference to a possible Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Robert B. Vance, 53, of El Dorado Springs charging him with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On March 26, 2022, officers responded to 808 North Main Street for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. The vehicle was recovered by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office. This investigation continues.

On March 27, 2022, officers arrested Christopher S. Christensen, 25, of El Dorado Springs on an active El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Fail to Appear on the original charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond of $181.50 cash or surety. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.
