Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 102 requests for assistance this past week, April 4-10. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 9, Animal Control 16, Assist Other Agencies 20, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 8, All Other Requests for Assistance 49, Summons 7.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Mendelsohn at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On April 11, 2022, officers responded to 305 South Main, Santa Paula Awning, concerning property damage. The investigation revealed a glass pane of a side door broken. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 12, 2022, officers responded to 801 East Broadway concerning property damage. The investigation revealed tire furrows in the yard of the residence. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 14 2022, officers arrested Blake A Vansel, 18, of El Dorado Springs, for Benton County Warrant, charging him with Burglary 2nd Degree, Stealing, and Property Damage with of $15,000.00 bond with special conditions, after two foot pursuits. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearance. Additional charges are expected.

On April 14, 2022, officers arrested Drianna K. Chandler, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with two counts of Forgery with a no bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On April 17, 2022, officers responded to 301 East Gentry concerning property damage. This investigation revealed a damaged door. A report taken and the investigation continues.
