Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 158 requests for assistance this past week, April 25-May 1. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 19, Animal Control 14, Assist Other Agencies 34, All Escorts 2, Nuisance 9, All Other Requests for Assistance 80, Summons 14.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On April 26, 2022, officers responded to 1314 South Missouri 32 Highway, Pizza Hut, concerning a Larceny and passing of Counterfeit US Currency. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jenny J Nix, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Vernon County Warrant for Fail to Appear on the original charges of a Non Moving Traffic Violation with a $10.00 cash bond. She also was arrested for the probable cause of Stealing. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On April 27, 2022, officers responded to 321 West Gay concerning a domestic assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 27, 2022, officers responded to 401 North Main Street concerning a Violation of an Order of Protection. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Joseph I. Wyatt, 37, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with a Violation of a Protection Order. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On April 28, 2022, officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department assisted by Cedar County Deputies served a search warrant at 610 South Main Street, after receiving information concerning fugitives from justice residing there. Officers arrested Krista S Jarvis, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Traffic Offense with a $633.00 cash bond. She was released on recognizance. Also arrested was Jesse L. Ruston, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of Less than 35 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On April 29, 2022 officers arrested Jason Tramel, 43, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with a Nuisance Violation with an $82.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 1, 2022, officers arrested Devon T. Whitford, 27, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless and Imprudent Manner with an $82.00. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 1, 2022, officers arrested Rachel R Ohman, 51, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Animal At Large with an $82.00 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.
