The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 112 requests for assistance this past week, May 2-8. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 17, Animal Control 7, Assist Other Agencies 24, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 10, All Other Requests for Assistance 54, Summons 8.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On May 2, 2022, officers arrested Shawn P. Hunt, 44, of El Dorado Springs for a State Warrant charging him with Probation Violation with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 3, 2022, officers responded to an assault at 1301 East Industrial Drive. A suspect has been identified, report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 4, 2022 officers responded to 410 East US 54 Highway concerning a larceny from a vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a tool box containing hand tools and fiber connectors. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 5, 2022, officers arrested Shane O. Wright, 44, of Nevada, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Possession of Marijuana with a$500.00 cash bond. He was released pending a court appearance.

On May 6, 2022, officers arrested April N. Hawley, 44, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Apparel on the original charge Expired Plates, with an $82.00 bond and a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Apparel on the original charge of Speeding with a $174.00 bond. Hawley was released on bonds pending court appearances.

On May 8, 2022, officers responded 605 East Fields Street concerning a reported disturbance. A report taken and the investigation continues.
