The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 96 requests for assistance this past week, May 23-29. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 9, Animal Control 5, Assist Other Agencies 13, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 16, All Other Requests for Assistance 49, Summons 13.

Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On May 25, 2022, officers responded to 901 South Jackson concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of John D. Donahue, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Obstruction and Peace Disturbance, also arrested was Kristina L. Spencer, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Peace Disturbance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 26, 2022, officers responded to Family Dollar/Dollar Tree concerning a shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a torch lighter. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 28, 2022, officer responded to 700 South Jackson Street concerning a disturbance involving a firearm. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kevin B. Ryles, 51, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Assault 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful use of a Weapon. Officer’s completed a probable cause for these charges. Officer received a Cedar County Warrant charging Ryles with Assault 2nd degree and Armed Criminal Action with a $25,000.00 bond. He as transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On May 29, 2022, officers responded a report of larceny of a bicycle at 900 South Kirkpatrick. The bicycle was recovered. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 29, 2022, officers responded to 200 East Oak concerning property damage. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Korey L. Wegner, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing and Property Damage. He was release on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 30, 2022, officers responded to 201 West Fairview Drive concerning a reported assault. A suspect identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 31, 2022, officers responded to 382 East US 54 Highway concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a wallet. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 31, 2022, officers responded to 700 East US 54 Highway, Family Dollar Tree, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of two, 2 liter bottles of soda and a gallon of milk. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 1, 2022, officers arrested Jonathan E Self, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 2, 2022, Officers arrested John Cox, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for a Probation Violation Warrant, on the original charge of Resting Arrest for a Felony with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On June 3, 2022, officers responded to 200 South Grand concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Bret M. Gish, 32, of Sheldon, for the probable cause of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 4, 2022, officers responded to In & Outlet concerning a reported burglary. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 4, 2022, officers responded to 110 South Jackson Street, City Pool, for a reported burglary. A report taken and the investigation continues.
