Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 123 requests for assistance this past week, June 27-July 3. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 15, Animal Control 13, Assist Other Agencies 21, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 13, All Other Requests for Assistance 60, Summons 9.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Mendelsohn at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On June 27, 2022, officers arrested Carol A Bailey, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $250.00 cash bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 29, 2022, officers responded to 609 North St. James concerning a Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jason E. Huegel, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 2nd and 4th Degree. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Domestic Assault 2nd Degree with a $10,000.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 29, 2022, officers arrested Stacie J. Ohman, 25, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with Forgery of Checks with no bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On June 29, 2022, officers arrested Shawnda R. Pulley, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana with a $181.50 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 29, 2022, officers arrested Brandon J. Marriott, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for multiple El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $369.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On June 29, 2022, officers responded to 1603 South Vernon concerning a Domestic Assault. A suspect was identified and the investigation continues.

On June 30, 2022, officers arrested Luwynda S. Fraser, 59, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Trespassing with a $100.00 cash bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On July 1, 2022 I responded to 227 West US 54 Highway, Pete’s, concerning a person attempting to pass counterfeit US Currency. A suspect was identified and the investigation continues.

On July 3, 2022, officers responded to 721 North Jackson concerning a trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shelly L. Haynes, 45, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Police Report
On July 4, 2022, officers responded to 316 South Park concerning a burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a window air-conditioner unit. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 6, 2022, officers arrested Christopher L. Thompson, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On July 7, 2022, officers responded to 210 East US 54 Highway, Community Bank of El Dorado Springs, concerning a bomb threat. Officers evacuated the business, no device was located. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 7, 2022, officers arrested Joseph I. Wyatt, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On July 8, 2022, officers arrested Mystical D Diaz, 20, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana with a $338.00 bond. She was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.

On July 8, 2022, officers arrested Tyler M Wilkins, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear and Failure to Appear on the original charge of assault with a $313.00 bond. He was released on recognizance pending a court appearance.

On July 8, 2022, officers responded to 100 East U.S. 54 Highway concerning a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Russell W. Hacker, 63, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On July 8, 2022, officers responded to 120 W, U.S. 54 Highway, Sonic Drive In, concerning a reported assault. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 9, 2022, officers arrested Santiago Martinez, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cass County Warrant, charging him Driving While Intoxicated with a $300.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cass County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On July 9, 2022, officers responded to 100 South Main Street concerning a suspicious person. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kenneth Johnson, 43, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Disorderly Conduct and Possession of Marijuana. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On July 10, 2022 officers arrested Rolland Comstock, 19, of El Dorado Springs for the probable cause of Minor in Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.
