In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 89 requests for assistance this past week, Aug. 1-7. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 10, Animal Control 5, Assist Other Agencies 15, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 59, Summons 5.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Mendelsohn at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On August 3, 2022, officers responded to Family Dollar in reference to shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of clothes. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 4, 2022, officer responded to 100 East Us 54 Highway for a report of shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of Alcohol. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 4, 2022 officers responded to 135 West Spring for a reported theft. The investigation resulted in the theft of a men’s bicycle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 5, 2022, officers arrested John R. Herndon, 24, of El Dorado Springs for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 6, 2022 officers responded to the city pool in reference to a burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of money, ice cream bars and candy bars. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 6, 2022 at the conclusion of an investigation, officers arrested John F. Mullings, 49, of El Dorado Springs, at 605 East Fields Street. Officers applied for and received a Cedar County Arrest Warrant for Mullings charging him with Rape 1st degree, two counts of Sodomy 1st Degree, Statutory Rape 2nd degree, and Statutory Sodomy 2nd degree with a CAPIS bond. Mullings was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On August 7, 2022, Officers arrested Shawnda Pulley, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Nevada Municipal Warrant, at 1300 South Grand Street. Pulley was then released on Her Own Recognizance per the Nevada Municipal Court.
