Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 120 requests for assistance this past week, Aug. 8-14. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 10, Animal Control 10, Assist Other Agencies 22, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 69, Summons 4.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Mendelsohn at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On August 8, 2022, officers arrested Cassandra J. Robison, 32, of El Dorado Springs for an active Nevada Municipal warrant charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Shoplifting with a bond of $214.00 cash only. She was transported to Nevada Police Department pending a court appearance.

On August 9, 2022, officers responded to 800 North Main, Apartment 12, concerning a male subject with multiple active warrants, The investigation resulted in the arrest of Anthony L. Gapan, 19, of El Dorado Springs, on multiple active Barton County warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of 3rd degree Assault with no bond and a Vernon County warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge on Probation and Parole Violations with no bond. He was released to Vernon County for transport.

On August 9, 2022, officers responded to 504 East Fields, Trailer E3 concerning a male with active warrants. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher A Gray, 31, of El Dorado Springs on El Dorado Springs Municipal warrants charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of No Operator’s License, Marijuana, Possess Narcotic and Resisting Arrest with a bond totaling $826.50 cash or surety and active Cedar County warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Aggravated Assault with a CAPIAS bond. He was released to Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On August 9, 2022, officers arrested Ethan J. Stevens, 22, of El Dorado Springs for active warrants in Cedar County charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Property Damage with a CAPIAS bond and several Barton County warrants for Failure to Appear on the Original charge of Dangerous Drugs, Burglary and Property Damage all with a CAPIAS bond. He was released to Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On August 11, 2022, officers responded to 116 West Joe Davis in reference to Trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Korey L. Wegner, 35, of El Dorado Springs charging for an active Cedar County warrant charging him with Failure to Obey Judge’s Order on original charges of Trespassing and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $1,000.00 cash only bond. He was released to Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On August 11, 2022, officers arrested Danielle J. White, 50, of El Dorado Springs on an active Franklin County warrant with a bond of $3,000.00 cash or surety. She was transported to Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On August 11, 2022, officers arrested John R. Herndon, 24, of El Dorado Springs charging him with Driving While Revoked. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 14, 2022, officer arrested Shelly Haynes, 45, of El Dorado Springs, at 205 East Twyman Street for Trespassing 2nd degree. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.
