Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 110 requests for assistance this past week, Aug. 22-28. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 10, Animal Control 6, Assist Other Agencies 24, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 69, Summons 7.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Mendelsohn at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On August 23, 2022, officers responded to 1207 South Main conceding a report of trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Alicia D. Janes, 45, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 23, 2022, officers responded to 311 East Spring, Apartment 4, concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of prescription drugs. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 24, 2022, officers responded to 721 North Jackson concerning a trespass. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shelly L. Haynes, 45, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing and Fail to Obey/Resist Arrest. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 25, 2022, officers responded to 127 West Spring concerning a warrant arrest. Officers arrested Keith A. Daniels, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original Driving While Revoked or Suspended with a $281.50 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On August 26, 2022, officers responded to 1109 South Jackson concerning a Property Damage. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Korey L. Wegner, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Property Damage. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 26, 2022, officers responded to 605 East Fields concerning a reported larceny of trailer. The investigation revealed the theft of a 2007 Refrigerated Trailer. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 28, officers responded to the 900 block of South Allison Road concerning a Domestic Disturbance and Larceny. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.

On August 28, 2022, officers responded to 305 West Poplar concerning a Domestic Assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Ian M. Schutt, 44, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault 3rd Degree. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 28, 2022, officers arrested Jackson L. Wills, 42, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Felony Warrant charging him with Possession of Weapon with a $25,000.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On August 28, officers arrested Rutger T. Crawford, 26, of Mexico, Missouri, for a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $350.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.
