Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 149 requests for assistance this past week, Oct. 3-9. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 17, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 40, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 6, All Other Requests for Assistance 73, Summons 6.

Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On October 3, 2022, officers arrested Floyd E. Hines, 65, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Intoxicated and No Operator’s License. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On October 4 2022, officers respond to 109 West Broadway concerning a Burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a glass jar containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On October 4 2022, officers responded to 314 South Summer concerning a Domestic Assault.  A report was taken and the investigation continues.

On October 5, 2022 officers responded 227 US 54 Highway, Pete’s, concerning a theft from a motor vehicle.  The investigation revealed the theft of motor vehicle ignition keys.

On October 5, 2022, officers responded to 312 West U.S. 54 Highway, Woods Supermarket, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a bottle of Mountain Dew and assorted Little Debbie snacks.  A suspect was identified and the investigation continues.

On October 9, 2022,   officers responded to the 100 block of South High concerning a leaving the scene of an accident. The investigation revealed a red three wheeled ATV stuck a chain linked fence and fled the scene. The ATV had an operator and passenger according to witnesses. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 9, 2022, officers responded to the 100 block of East Spring concerning a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The investigation resulted in the driver being identified as Dewayne S Suneson, 36, of El Dorado Springs. He received Municipal Court Citations for the probable cause of Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Careless and Reckless Driving and No Proof of Insurance.
