In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 143 requests for assistance this past week, Oct. 10-16. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 17, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 33, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 81, Summons 7.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On October 3, 2022, officers arrested Floyd E. Hines, 65, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Intoxicated and No Operator’s License. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On October 10, 2022 officers arrested Tory B. Richards, 30, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. She was released with summons pending a court appearance.

On October 11, 2022, officers responded to 400 North Main Street concerning a burglary.  The investigation revealed forced entry was made into the residence and guitars, amplifier and stereo system was stolen. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 12, 2022, officers arrested Cassandra J. Robison, 32, of El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging her with Fail to Appear on the original charge of Shoplifting with a $214.00 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On October 13, 2022, officers arrested Andrea J. Savala, 30, of Humansville, for Polk County Felony Warrants charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Possess Amphetamine with no bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On October 14, 2022, officers arrested John R. Herndon Jr, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of a moving violation with a $500.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On October 15, 2022, officers responded to 410 East US 54 Highway, McDonald’s, concerning a larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of a wallet containing a driver’s license, debit card and US currency. The wallet was recovered and returned to the owner.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 16, 2022, officers responded to 312 West US 54 Highway, Wood’s Supermarket, concerning a shoplifting. A report taken and the investigation continues.
