In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 72 requests for assistance this past week, Jan. 9-15. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 4, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 9, All Escorts 3, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 41, Summons 0.

Animal Control

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact the animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On January 13, 2023, officers assisted the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office concerning a domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 14, 2023 officers responded to 301 West Marshall Street concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a fire pit. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 14, 2023, Officer responded to 210 East US 54 Highway, Community Bank of El Dorado Springs, concerning an alarm activation of an ATM. The investigation revealed damage to the ATM which appeared relate to a motor vehicle collision. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 15, 2023, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a peace disturbance.  A report taken and the investigation continues.
