Law enforcement activities
The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 77 requests for assistance this past week, March 27-April 2. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 2, Animal Control 7, Assist Other Agencies 18, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 45, Summons 2.

Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On March 27, 2023, officers arrested Jordan A. Cole, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for a Probation and Parole Warrant concerning Probation Violation on the original charges of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Burglary, Stealing a Firearm or Explosive Weapon and Resisting Arrest with no bond. He was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On March 27, 2023, officers responded to a reported larceny at 410 North Jackson. The investigation revealed the theft of a ring. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 29, 2023, officers responded to 1101 South First Street concerning lost or stolen license plates. The investigation revealed a lost or stolen trailer plate of Missouri 25E9MW. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 30, 2023, officers arrested Louis D. Moss, 65, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License, requiring fingerprinting. He was released upon completion of fingerprinting.

On March 30, 2023, officers responded to 403 East Fields Terrace concerning a burglary. The investigation revealed entry was made through the window resulting into damage. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 1, 2023, officers arrested Charles E. Sumner, 56, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Revoked. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.
