The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 87 requests for assistance this past week, June 19-25. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 4, Animal Control 17, Assist Other Agencies 15, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 51, Summons 20.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On June 20, 2023, officers responded to 115 East US 54 Highway concerning property damage. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Elijah T. Spiva, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On June 20, 2023, officers responded to the 500 block of East Marshal Street concerning three children in diapers walking in the street. The investigation resulted in a citation issued for child endangerment.

On June 21, 2023, officers responded to 121 West Lafayette concerning an Ex-Parte Violation. This investigation continues. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 21, 2023, officers responded to 610 North Main concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in a summons issued for peace disturbance.

On June 24, 2023, officers responded to the 300 and 400 blocks of South Main concerning trespassing and larceny. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Clinton E. Moore, 46, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing, Stealing and Resisting Arrest. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 25, 2023, officers responded to 410 South Ohio concerning a theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a wallet containing bank cards, personal ID’s, U.S. Currency, and 2 firearms. A report taken and the investigation continues.
