The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 72 requests for assistance this past week, Aug. 7-13. The requests were as follows:
Ambulance Assists 1, Animal Control 13, Assist Other Agencies 5, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 5, All Other Requests for Assistance 48, Summons 4.

Animal Control
Anyone interested in adopting animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report
On August 8, 2023, officers responded to the intersection of High St and ZJoe Davis for a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Tristin A. Reed, 22, El Dorado Springs, charging him with Peace Disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 9, 2023, officers arrested Jacqueline R. Willhoit, 55, El Dorado Springs, for an active Cass County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance with a cash only bond of $5,000.00. She was transferred to Cedar County Jail pending extradition, bond and a court appearance.

On August 10, 2023, officers responded to 317 S Park in reference to Tampering with Utilities. The investigation resulted in the arrest of William S. Cain, 50, El Dorado Springs, charging him with Stealing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 10, 2023, officers responded to 117 West Joe Davis in reference to an assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Clinton E. Moore, 46, El Dorado Springs charging him with Assault. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On August 13, 2023, officers responded to the station for a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of 2 flat screen TV’s, x-box, Playstation 4 and an acoustic guitar. The investigation continues
