In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 61 requests for assistance this past week, Oct 23-30. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 5, Animal Control 7, Assist Other Agencies 11, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 37, Summons 6.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On October 26, 2023, officers responded 500 South Main Street, First Baptist Church, concerning a larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of gasoline from a parked 2002 Dodge Van.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 26, 2023, officers responded to 228 West Spring concerning attempted burglary. The investigation revealed a person entered the residence through an unlocked door and fled upon confrontation by residence. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On October 29, 2023, officers arrested Joseph I Wyatt, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of stealing. Stolen property was recovered related to a larceny report on October 18, 2023.  Wyatt was released on summons pending a court appearance.
