Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 69 requests for assistance this past week, Nov. 13-19. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 2, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 7, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 3, All Other Requests for Assistance 44, Summons 2.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On November 14, 2023, officers arrested Kimberly K. Short, 60, El Dorado Springs, for a Christian County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, with a $2,500.00 bond. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearance.

On November 18, 2023, officers responded to 509 North Main concerning a domestic disturbance. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 18, 2023, officers responded to 135 West Spring concerning a theft from a locker. The investigation revealed the theft of a wallet. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 19, 2023, officers responded to the 800 block of East Airport Road concerning property damage. The investigation revealed damage to a mail box. A report taken and the investigation continues.
