In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 61 requests for assistance this past week, Nov. 20-26. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 2, Animal Control 8, Assist Other Agencies 13, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 38, Summons 2.

Animal Control

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On November 20, 2023, officers responded at the station concerning a of identity theft concerning a juvenile. A person had used the juvenile’s identity to obtain credit card access.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 21, 2023, officers responded to 309 West Pine concerning trespassing. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 22, 2023, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning Larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of 2 Large Pizzas and an order of Cheese Bread sticks totaling $58.13.  Suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 22, 2023, officers responded to 500 East Hospital Road concerning a Domestic Disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Gavin E. Luckett, 22, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Domestic Assault. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On November 24, 2023, officers responded to 317 South Park Street concerning Trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher S. Christensen, 26, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On November 25, 2023, officers arrested Joshua Z. Pitts, 22, of

El Dorado Springs, for a St Clair County Warrant, charging him with Unlawful Possession of Firearm, with a $25,000.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.
