In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Feb 6 – Officers respond to 810 South Grand concerning a structure fire.Investigation continues.

Officers responded to 610 North Main concerning a reported larceny. Investigation revealed the theft of a pancake air compressor, weed eater and US currency.  Investigation continues.

Officers received a report of forgery.  Investigation continues.

Feb 7 – Arrests: Chadd A Ellison, 18, El Dorado Springs, charging him with driving while revoked, fail to register a motor vehicle and no proof of financial responsibility. He was released on bond pending court appearance.

Jerod R. Johnson, 36, of Milo, for a Vernon County warrant, charging him with two counts of second degree domestic assault with a $10,000 bond. He was released on bond pending court appearance.

Jesse W Dunn, 22,  El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Court warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of driving while suspended with a $1,031.42 cash only bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County jail pending bond and court appearance.

Feb 8 – Arrests: Taylor W Zander, 24, El Dorado Springs, for Bates County warrants charging him with failure to appear for the original charge of no insurance with a bond of $2,500 and failure to appear on the original charge of no seatbelt with a bond of $250.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

David T Griffith, 28, El Dorado Springs, charging him with child Abuse. He was released on summons pending court appearance.

Officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department assisted by Cedar County deputies and St Clair County K-9 Unit served a search warrant at 107 West Lafayette, after receiving information concerning illegal drug activity.  Officers located illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Lawrence L Hill Jr. 51, El Dorado Springs, charging him with possession of a controlled substance, keeping and maintaining a public nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. Officers received a Cedar County warrant charging Hill with the Class E Felony of keeping and maintaining a public nuisance and a Class A misdemeanor of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia with a $25,000 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and court appearance. Also arrested was Jenna N Koski, 23, El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Class E felony, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Officers completed a probable cause statement for this charge. She was released on a summons charging her with a Class A misdemeanor, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Feb 9 – Officers responded to 807 South Jackson concerning a report of trespassing.  Suspect dentified and investigation continues.

Feb 10 – Arrest Jonathan L Houdeshell, 26, El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Court warrant charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of driving while revoked with a $1,010 cash bond. He was released on recognizance per judge’s order.

Feb 12-  Arrest: Chayne R Bittner, 41, El Dorado Springs, for two Vernon County warrants for failure to appear on the original charges of domestic assault with a $750 cash only bond, and for failure to appear on the original charges of domestic assault with a $450 cash only bond. He was transported to the Vernon County jail pending bond and court appearance.
