In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

June 19 – Officers were contacted at the police station concerning a reported larceny from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a black wallet. A report was taken and the investigation is continues.

June 20 – Officers responded to the 100 block of West Spring Street concerning a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Sebastien Kelso, age 25, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending court appearance.

Arrest: Brent A. Ballinger, age 39, of El Dorado Springs for a Humansville warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of a non-moving traffic violation, with a cash only bond of $245. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.

June 21 – Officers responded to 105 North Grand Avenue for a report of trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Carmen G. Tucker, age 31, of El Dorado Springs for first degree erespassing and Waylen D. Poore, age 36, of El Dorado Springs for first degree trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on summons pending a court appearance.

June 23 – Arrest: Brandon L. Parker, age 19, of El Dorado Springs, as the result of a traffic stop, for the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended, careless and reckless driving, failure to register motor vehicle, displaying license plates of another vehicle, proof of financial responsibility required and failure to signal. He was released on summons pending court appearance.

June 23  – Officers of the El Dorado Springs Police Department, assisted by Cedar County deputies, served a search warrant at 500 East Fields #8, after receiving information of illegal drug activity. Evidence of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia was located. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Charles L. Croan Jr., age 32, of El Dorado Springs, for the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance. Additional charges are expected in this investigation.

Officers responded to 700 South Park concerning a reported larceny of a black, Mongoose Excursion bicycle. The bicycle was later located and returned to the owner. This investigation continues.

June 24 – Arrest: Maureen M. Hagerty, age 55, of El Dorado Springs for the charge of possession of a controlled substance. Officers completed a probable cause statement for this charge. She was released into the custody of the Cedar County Sheriff’s office.

June 24 – Officers responded to 301 East Martin concerning reported property damage to a motor vehicle. A report was taken and the investigation continues.
