In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Oct 16 – Officers were contacted at the police station concerning reported theft. The investigation revealed the theft of a silver I phone 5S. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Arrest: Trevor G. Gant, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Cass County warrant charging him for failure to appear on the original charge of speeding, with cash only bond of $250.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Oct 17 – Officers responded to 204 South Jackson Street concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Fidelity Modem, a Starcaster Fender Guitar, IMAC 2010 computer, a Playstation 3, an unknown make or model 20” television set and some change. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Oct 17 – Officers were contacted at the police station concerning a reported child abuse. A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.

Oct 17 – Arrest: Timothy A. Hocking, 31, of El Dorado Springs for an active El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failure to appear on the original charge of property damage, with a $373 bond. Officers also charged him with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Oct 18 – Officers responded to 504 East Fields, F7, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a propane bottle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Oct 18 – Officers responded to 703 East Gentry concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a bow and bow case. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Oct 18 – Arrests: John R. Herndon Jr, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for an active Bates County warrant, charging him with two counts of failure to appear on the original charge of possession of controlled substance, with a $25,000 bond. He was transferred to the Bates County jail pending a court appearance.

Danyalle E. Bailey, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for the charge of unlawful transfer of a firearm. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Oct  19 – Officers responded to 403 South Park concerning a reported burglary. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Oct 19 –  Officers responded to 121 West Joe Davisconcerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a license plate, gas cap and battery stolen from a motor vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Oct  20 – Officers responded to 222 West Olive concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of license plate tabs from a motor vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continues.

Oct 22 – Officers responded to 1705 South Jackson, in reference to a reported tampering with a motor vehicle. A report taken and the investigation continues.
