In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On June 4, 2018, officers responded to 315 East Fields, Apartment A, concerning a reported larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 4, 2018, officers responded to 801 East Gentry concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a black, LG smart phone. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 5, 2018, officers arrested John J. Cox, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for a Bates County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear with the original charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, with a $17,500.00 bond, an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear with a $705.00 bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bonding and court appearances.

On June 5, 2018, officers responded to 308 North Jackson concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a large wagon wheel. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 6, 2018, officers arrested Tyler R. Claypool, 26, of Nevada, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance, with a $7,500.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 7, 2018, officers arrested Roy L. Keith, 50, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting/Interfering with Arrest for a Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with a bond of $5000.00.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 7, 2018, officers responded to 111 West Marshall Street concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrests of David W. Murdock Jr. 40, and Lisa D. Murdock, 42, of El Dorado Springs, charging them with peace disturbance. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On June 8, 2018, officers arrested Bret A. Leaver, 49, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Expired Operators License, with a $50.50 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 8, 2018, officers arrested Rocky Willis, 40, of Fort Scott, KS, for an active Dallas County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of 4th degree Assault with a $300.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 9, 2018, officers arrested Larry O. Messick, Jr, 17 of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Disorderly Conduct in the Park, with a $175.50 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On June 9, 2018, officers responded to 100 South Main concerning a reported assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 10, 2018, officers responded to 509 East Fields concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a stereo and numerous tools. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 10, 2018, officers responded to 509 South Forrest concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of an air conditioner. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On June 10, 2018, officers responded to 501 South Main concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a pump shotgun, 9mm pistol, and a 32 inch television. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.
