The St. Clair County Commission met on Wednesday, Dec. 21, with the following present:

Robert Salmon – presiding commissioner; Leroy Strope – north commissioner; Gerald Williamd – south commissioner and Debbie Peden – county clerk.

Road and Bridge supervisor Cole Cochran discussed road issues and various topics regarding culvert installation and equipment maintenance.

Sheridan Garman-Neeman met with Commissioners regarding the Economic Development projects and updates.

David Knight, public administrator elect, reviewed his proposed 2017 budget with the commissioners.

The Commissioners and Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran discussed roads and various topics regarding the Road and Bridge Department.

Travis Tindall, representing nForm Architecture, telephoned to visit with the Commissioners.

Anthony Baumhover and Jeremy Roberts, representing Ninnescah Park, were in to discuss the ownership status of the private road leading to the Park.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon signed the Child Support Endorsement Agreement for Jan. 1, 2017, though Dec. 31, 2019.

The Commissioners spoke with Julie Zibert, MoDot, regarding the CART map for the county.

The Commissioners and County Clerk/Budget Officer Debbie Peden worked on Budgets for year 2017.

The St. Clair County Commission met Friday, Dec. 30, with the following present:

County Clerk Debbie Peden performed Swearing In of Newly Elected Officials which were: Leroy Strope – north commissioner; Gerald Williams – south commissioner; Scott Keeler – sheriff; Gladys Smith – assessor; David Knight – public administrator and Randy Sheldon – corner.

Certificates of Merit were awarded to the following county employees:

35 years – Randy Sheldon; 25 years – Cole Cochran, Kenneth Rice; 15 years – Betty Roth, Laurie Stinnett; 10 years – Wesley Davis and 5 years – Daniel Thompson, Dawn Jones and Lisa Roberts.

Budgets were discussed with Sheriff Scott Keeler and Circuit Clerk Karen Hubbard.

Commissioner Strope made a motion to approve Land Commissioner’s Sale to Brian Perez and Kevin Nix All of Lots 34, 35 and 38, Block 10, Plat 3 of Twin Oaks Harbor for a selling price of $531.31. Motion carried.

Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran reported that the road sign at SE 575 Rd. has been installed.

Cole Cochran, Road and Bridge supervisor, and the commissioners discussed various optice relating to the Road and Bridge Department.

The commissioners and Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran discussed road signs, grading roads and culverts. Also discussed was truck repair.

Sheriff Scott Keeler and Chief Deputy Mike Crocker discussed the sheriff and jail budgets with the commissioners and County Clerk/Budget Officer Debbie Peden.

Lo Collins and Edina McGinnis, representing W.I.N.G.S Refuge were in to discuss the organization with the commissioners.

The commissioners and Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran discussed various topics concerning the road and bridge department. They also discussed vehicles, fuel purchased and fuel used in 2016.

Treasurer Rhonda Shelby was in to discuss changes that were made to the County website.

Sheridan Garman-Neeman, St. Clair County Economic Developer, reported on projects she is working on for St. Clair County Economic Development.

The commissioners spoke with Lila Foster, City of Osceola, regarding documentation received in 2016 for Land Annexation into the city.

Commissioner Williams made a motion to approve the Sac Osage Hospital Resolution authorizing the sale of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 2, Hostetter’s and Hensley’s Addition to Osceola, St. Clair County, Missouri.
