The St. Clair County Commission met Wednesday, March 21, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner, Leroy Strope, north commissioner, Gerald Williams, south commissioner, Debbie Peden, county clerk, and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

The Commissioners received the signed contract for housing St. Clair County inmates in Barton County.

Sheridan Garman-Neeman, representing Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission, was in to discuss funding for Economic Developer with the Commissioners.

A tour and discussion was conducted on updating hallway floors on the first floor of the Courthouse.

Teresa Heckenlively, St. Clair County Economic Developer, was in to discuss Economic Development in St. Clair County.

Commission met Wednesday, April 4, with all present.

The CART Contract from Hillsdale Special Road District was received and signed by the Commissioners.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon signed the Assessment Reimbursement for the months of January 2018, though March 2018.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon made a motion to adopt Resolution 18-01 to approve Resolution of Membership of Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission and Economic Development District and appoint Gerald Williams to represent St. Clair County at the meetings of Kaysinger Basin Economic Development District Board of Directors. Motion carried.

The Commissioners and Kirk Sibley, secretary of the St. Clair jail authority, set a meeting for the St. Clair County jail authority to be held at 11:30 a.m. on April 18.

Commissioner Strope made a motion to update and issue revised Personnel Policies to all employees. The Personnel Policy Handbook is in accordance with Missouri Association of Counties guidelines. Motion carried.

Teresa Heckenlively, St. Clair County Economic Developer, was in and discussed the Barn Quilt Tour. She stated that she is currently working to qualify the county as a Work Ready County.
