The St. Clair County Commission met Friday, Seip. 28, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner; Leroy Strope, north commissioner; Gerald Williams, south commissioner; Debbie Peden, county clerk and Marian McCaslin, administrative assistant present.

Noah Gates, representing Tri State Truck Center, was in to visit with the Commission.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon gave a report on the West Central Commissioners Quarterly Meeting the Commissioners attended in Clinton on Thursday, Sept. 27. Salmon stated the 911 Center and Champion Brand tours were informative and enjoyed.

A telephone call was received from a concerned citizen regarding a poultry farm. The caller was referred to the Department of Natural Resources as that agency regulates livestock operations in Missouri.

Commission met Monday, Oct. 1, with all present.

Daniel Dysart, representing the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, was in to visit with the Commission regarding part-time personnel for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

A concerned citizen was in with a road concern located at the end of SE 350 Rd. It was determined this portion of road is maintained by Missouri Department of Transportation.

Chief Deputy Mike Crocker was in checking on insurance and vehicles for the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Scott Keeler spoke with the Commission regarding insurance and vehicles.

Commission met Wednesday, Oct. 3, with all present.

The Commission met with Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran. Items discussed were motor graders and brush cutters locations, gravel and grading roads.

Raysha Tate, Agriculture Business Specialist with the University of Missouri Extension Office, was in to update the Commission on changes relating to the Extension Office. Teresa Heckenlively, St. Clair County Developer, was in to inform the Commission the Job Connection Sites will soon move to the St. Clair County Library. She discussed the clean up on the rails, Quilt Block Journey and Healthy Places for Healthy People tour of Osceola.

The Commission received a telephone call from Pitney Bowes regarding a postage meter machine contract which would replace the existing one. This contract would include maintenance and would be effective Feb. 28, 2019.

Sale tax revenues received for September 2018, were $29,959.65.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon signed the Assessment Reimbursement for the months of July, August and September 2018.

Commission met Wednesday, Oct. 17, with all present.

The Commission discussed the locations for Road and Bridge motor graders and brush cutters. They discussed brush cutting and bridge replacement.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon reported on the Workforce Development Board Meeting he attended in Sedalia on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

The Commission received a telephone call regarding road conditions on NW 401 Rd. and NW 451 Rd.

Commission met Wednesday, Oct. 24, with all present.

The Commission and Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran met and discussed motor graders and brush cutters locations, equipment, road maintenance, rock and rock quarries.

Kristi Pfleiderer and Sheridan Garman-Neeman, Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission, were in to discuss programs and funding for Hazard Mitigation and Economic Development.

Presiding Commissioner Salmon made a motion to choose Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission as a Planning Commission to prepare the Hazard Mitigation Plan for St. Clair County Motion carried.

The Commission and St. Clair County Clerk/Budget Officer Debbie Peden discussed budgets.

The Commission and Road and Bridge Supervisor Cole Cochran met and discussed motor graders and brush cutters locations, grading roads, equipment and equipment repairs.

The Commission received a telephone all regarding SE 975 Rd. As this is in Collins Special Road District, the Commission gave out the contact information.

Jeanie Cunningham, representing Mike Keith Insurance, telephoned regarding employee health insurance renewal. Cunningham stated she would contact the Commission in the near future regarding this matter.

Dan Wadlington, representing Senator Roy Blunt, was in to visit with the Commission.

Presiding Commission Salmon reported on the Emergency Management Assistance/Local Emergency Planning Commission meeting he attended Thursday evening, Oct. 25.

The Commission and St. Clair County Clerk/Budget Officer Debbie Peden discussed buegets.
