The St. Clair County Commission met Wednesday, Aug. 14, with Robert Salmon, presiding commissioner; Leroy Strope, north commissioner; Gerald Williams, south commissioner; Debbie Peden, county clerk and Lori Rowe, administrative assistant present.

The Commissioners had a general discussion about road conditions and the locations of equipment.

Representatives of Great River Engineering and Granger Dirt Works met with the Commission for a pre-construction meeting for the bridge replacement project on NW 750 Rd. Work is slated to begin on Aug. 19, with a completion date of Oct. 17.

A local contractor gave the Commission an update on permits and specifications on moving forward with rebuilding SW 200 Rd.

The Commissioners met with the Road and Bridge Supervisor to discuss current locations of equipment and road conditions.

CART Revenue received were $57,091.84. $41,001.41 was the portion going to Common Road District. Out of these revenues, funds were allocated to the following Special Road Districts; Appleton City Special $2,844.27; Chloe Special $1,869.09; Collins Special $3,656.92; Hillsdale Special $1,869.09; Osceola Special $3,006.80; Vista Special $2,844.27.
