July 19 – Cody Muncy, 22, Kansas City arrested on two St. Clair County misdemeanor warrants for exceeding the posted speed limit by 11-15 miles per hour and operating vehicle without valid license. Warrant issued July 6 and stems from Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation April 2. Total bond  set at $492.

July 20 –  Deputy arrested Herman Long, 36, Osceola, on St. Clair County warrant charging him with unclassified felony statutory sodomy-first degree. Bond set at $50,000 cash only. Charge stems from Osceola Police Department (OPD) investigation on June 22.

Warrant served at St. Clair County jail where Long is currently in custody on class B felony charge of distribution, delivery, manufacture or production of controlled substance. This is OPD investigation stemming from investigation  June 23. Bond set at $20,000 cash or surety.

Dillion Bennett, 32, Nevada, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with probation violation on original class C felony burglary second degree charge and class D felony charge of property damage first degree. Bond  set at $5,000 cash only.

Original charges stem from  incident Dec. 31, 2015 when St. Clair County deputies dispatched to residence on SW 101 Rd in reference to stealing in progress. Property owned by David Lile and residence recently destroyed by fire.

Deputies arrived on scene and located Bennett sitting in a truck filled with metal scrap items taken from structure. Investigation revealed Bennett did not have permission to be on the property. Owner arrived on scene and identified items and advised metal outbuilding that was not damaged by fire was missing from property. He noted metal in back of the truck was from missing building. Items that were inside the building were found beside the truck. Damage to the building estimated at $1,500 and value of items taken estimated at $1,000.

St. Clair County arrest warrant issued for Jacob Hudgens, 39, Osceola, for failing to appear in court on original class C felony charge of domestic assault-second degree. Bond set at $20,000 cash only. Original charge stems from investigation June 19 when St. Clair County deputies responded to disturbance on NE 276 Rd.  Hudgens allegedly struck female victim with  closed fist and choked her on three different occasions.

St. Clair County arrest warrant issued for Michelle Terrell, 38, Wheatland, charging her with class C felony burglary-second degree. Bond set at $15,000 cash only.

Charges stem from incident June 29 when St Clair County deputies responded to burglary in progress on South 17th Street, Collins. During investigation it was learned Terrell and Troy Osborn unlawfully entered residence. Homeowner, Kimberly Aldridge, arrived home and found Osborn and Terrell inside her residence. There was evidence several items were gone through in the residence.

July 21 – Travis Tweedy, 37, Buffalo, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony driving while revoked. Bond set at $7,500 cash or surety. Charge stems from investigation earlier the same day when St. Clair County deputy made traffic stop on vehicle Tweedy was driving. It was learned Tweety had eight prior convictions in various jurisdictions for same charge.

St. Clair County warrant  issued for Matthew Munson, 28, Strafford, charging him with failing to appear in court on class A misdemeanor passing bad checks. Bond set at $500 cash only. Oiginal charge stems from incident January 2014.

July 22 – St. Clair County warrant issued for Dennis Spiva, 38, El Dorado Springs, charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance and class D felony resisting/interfering with an arrest for a felony. Bond set at $25,000 cash only.

Charges stem from investigation previous day on Hwy 82 near SW 651 Rd between Roscoe and Tiffin. After receiving call regarding  suspicious vehicle in area, St. Clair County deputy met with Spiva who stated he parked his vehicle while he and a friend were walking the creek looking for arrowheads. During investigation a glass pipe and plastic container with approximately 21 grams of white crystal substance was located in Spiva’s possession. Substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. The moment when these items were discovered, Spiva fled on foot into creeks and timber. Extensive search of area conducted utilizing several officers and Missouri State Highway Patrol helicopter. Spiva not located.

Scottie Anderson Jr, 25, Independence, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license. Bond set at $272 cash only. Original charge stems from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation in April when traffic stop was conducted on vehicle Anderson was driving on Hwy 13.

Orville Axelson Jr., 50, Rockville, IL,. arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him passing a bad check. Bond set at $1,000 cash or surety. Charge stems from incident June 1999.

July 23 – Steven DeHart, 54, Collins, arrested at St. Clair County jail on Polk County warrant from Bolivar Police Department for class A misdemeanor larceny. Bond set at $150 cash only.

July 26 – St. Clair County warrant issued for Billy Prater, 17, Appleton City, charging him with class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and unclassified misdemeanor possession of liquor by a minor. Bond set at $3,000 cash or surety.

Charges stem from traffic stop on NW H Hwy, in early morning hours July 9. Prater was driving the vehicle. During investigation it was determined Prater was driving while intoxicated and in the back seat of the vehicle a box containing several unopened cans of Keystone Light Beer were located.

July 27 – St. Clair County deputy took a stealing report on 1425 Rd. Ramona King reported a Winchester Model 94 .32 special lever action rifle stolen from her residence. Suspect was named.

St. Clair County deputy took  stealing report at Ellett Memorial Hospital. Employee, Bruce Goddard, reported Samsung Galaxy Tab-4, 10.1 with black case stolen from desk he had been sitting at. Tablet testimated at $500. Suspect named and case forwarded to  Appleton City Police Department.

July 28 – Kayne Gonzales, 20, Lowry City, arrested on a no bond St. Clair County warrant for probation violation in several cases. Gonzales currently on probation for class B felony assault-first degree from a Lowry City Police Department investigation August 2014.

He is also on probation for class C felony domestic assault-second degree and misdemeanor charge of property damage-second degree. Charges stem from  incident Nov. 24, 2014, when St. Clair County deputies dispatched to domestic assault on NE 700 Rd. Gonzales allegedly punched individual in the face after kicking the door in and entering the residence without permission.

St. Clair County warrant was issued for Trent Lewis, 22, Rockville, charging him with class A misdemeanor theft. Bond set at $2,500 cash or surety.

Charge stems from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation July 11 when Lewis, an employee of Casey’s General Store, made a safe drop with no money attached. Video surveillance showed Lewis make a drop and place ticket and money on the drawer. Lewis then covered up the money on the drawer with his cell phone and a few minutes later he picked up his cell phone along with the money and put it into his pocket. His drawer was short $150 for the shift.
