ST. CLAIR COUNTY SHERIFF

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made nine arrests and took multiple reports during the week of Nov. 4 through 26, 2019.

Warrant Arrests

Travis Luethje- On Nov. 18, Travis Luethje, 30, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Luethje was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Luethje was driving for a vehicle violation. When the deputy made contact with Luethje, the deputy could smell the strong odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle. The deputy asked Luethje to get out of the vehicle and speak with them. While Luethje was talking the deputy noticed a strong odor of alcohol from Luethje’s breath and he was also slurring his speech. Luethje refused to take a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer.

Sallie Welch- On Nov. 18, Sallie Welch, 49, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class A misdemeanor violation of order of protection for an adult. Welch was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on SE 401 Road in regards to an ex-parte violation. When the deputy arrived on scene, they observed Welch sitting in a chair in the living room of the residence. Welch had been served with the ex-parte papers earlier in the day and was escorted off the property at that time.

Canaan Fuelling- On Nov. 17, Canaan Fuelling, 22, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a probation violation on a class A misdemeanor non-support.

Vance Johnson- On Nov. 16, Vance Johnson, 47, Stark City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class E felony non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support.

Desiree Raeuber- On Nov. 16, Desiree Raeuber, 39, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class E felony driving while revoked/suspended. Raeuber was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Raeuber was driving for a vehicle violation. During a records check, it was revealed that Raeuber’s driving privileges were currently suspended.

Darrell Warner- On Nov. 15, Darrell Warner, 37, Blue Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a probation violation on a class D felony non-support, total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support.

Jeremy Attebery- On Nov. 13, Jeremy Attebery, 39, Ottawa, KS, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class C felony check kiting. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The original charge stems from an investigation from February of 2013.

Jamie Huff- On Nov. 13, Jamie Huff, 20, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class E felony domestic assault in the third degree. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on NE Highway B in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival, the deputies spoke to the individual parties involved. While speaking with Huff, he admitted to getting physical with the other party.

Robert Williamson- On Nov. 8, Robert Williamson, 41, unknown, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a probation violation on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-prior drug offense. Bond is set at $2,500 cash only.

The original charges stem from an investigation by the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office in November of 2018.

Stealing in Osceola

On Nov. 15, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to the north bound side of Highway 13 in reference to stealing. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Herman Gingerizh. Gingerizh stated that while he was out hunting someone had stolen his horse, that was connected to the buggy, halter rope, and the shaft that connects to the buggy and tack.

The estimated loss value of the horse and property is $2,000.

Robbery in Collins

On Nov. 15, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to Tom and Jenn’s Discount Cigarettes and Liquor in Collins in reference to an armed robbery.

Upon arrival, a deputy spoke with the store employee that was inside the business at the time of the robbery. The employee stated they opened the store, as usual. Between 9 a.m. and 9:10 a.m., the employee observed a black male enter the front door. The male is described as early 20’s, with dreadlocks, and approximately 5’ 9”. The store employee saw the reflection of a second individual on the glass of the front door.

The first black male pointed a handgun at the store employee and demanded to know where the safe was. The gun is described as a black/blue semi-auto handgun. The employee stated they were forced to kneel on the ground and to keep their head down while the black male kept the gun pointed to the back of their head.

While the store employee was kneeling, they observed a black bag that was placed on the floor. The store employee noticed Newport Cigarettes already in the bag as the second individual emptied the safe.

The subjects left the store in an unknown direction of travel. 

Burglary in Collins

On Nov. 6, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on SE Old Highway 13 in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy met with Curtis Colby. Colby stated he noticed the front door of the residence was open. He checked the exterior of the residence and also noticed screen windows lying on the ground.

Colby advised a .22 rifle, a chainsaw, a leaf blower, and two game cameras were missing. Estimated loss value was not know at the time of report.
