ST. CLAIR COUNTY SHERIFF

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made five arrests and took multiple reports during the week of March 3 through 10, 2020.

Warrant Arrests

Kyle Gaynor- On March 9, Kyle Gaynor, 20, Sandy Hook, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant on a class E felony resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing-creating a substantial risk of serious injury/death to any person, a class B misdemeanor operate a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, a class B misdemeanor exceeded the posted speed limit by 26 mph or more, a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and a class D misdemeanor driving while revoked/suspended. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after Polk County dispatch notified St. Clair County dispatch that a vehicle that failed to yield to law enforcement just entered St. Clair County heading north on Highway 13 at approximately 130 mph. St. Clair County deputies took the lead in the failure to yield with other local agencies assisting. The vehicle traveled into Henry County. A Missouri State Trooper was able to deploy a spike strip with success on the vehicle.

The driver continued to drive approximately one mile after hitting the spike strip coming to a stop on the shoulder of the highway. St. Clair County deputies surrounded to vehicle and took the subject, later identified as Gaynor, into custody without further incident.

Theodore Harpool- On March 6, Theodore Harpool, 50, Willard, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant on a class D felony stealing-motor vehicle/watercraft/aircraft and prior stealing offender and a class E felony passing bad check. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after Harpool paid for a vehicle from Vista Auto Sales with a check from a closed bank account in April of 2019.

Kenda Meredith- On March 6, Kenda Meredith, 31, Appleton City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on two Clinton Police Department warrants for failure to appear in court on misdemeanor charges. Bond is set at $310 cash only.

Debbie Bray- On March 4, Debbie Bray, 28, Humansville, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Bolivar Police Department warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge. Bond is set at $110 cash or surety.

Edward Ervin- On March 3, Edward Ervin, 27, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony domestic assault in the second degree. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after a female victim stated Ervin started slapping her in the face after he had been drinking. Ervin asked for the car keys and the female victim refused to tell Ervin where they were located. The female victim stated Ervin started slapping her harder and put his hands around her neck and began to choke her. The female victim did fight back and was able to get out of the choke hold.

Burglary in Iconium

On March 7, a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to a residence on NE 500 Road in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Warren Breshears. Breshears stated a door had been kicked in and a window was broken when he arrived at his residence. Inside the residence the drawers were open and items had been thrown on the floor.

Breshears stated someone had broken into his shop as well. He stated the door was locked when he left. Inside the shop stuff had been scattered around. He noticed a container of hydraulic fluid was missing along with a Makita cordless drill. Breshears stated it looked as if someone tried to hot wire two of his four-wheelers causing damage to them.

Deputies collected evidence and photos. Estimated loss value is $1040.

Burglary in Deepwater

On March 7, a St. Clair County deputy took a call in reference to a burglary. The deputy spoke with Jill Wareham. Wareham stated when she went to her shop, she noticed the truck door wasn’t shut like it was supposed to be. Wareham stated she checked the truck for the keys; they were not in the truck. Wareham called her husband and father and neither of them had the keys.

Wareham stated there was a Bluetooth Kenwood speaker and some miscellaneous DeWalt power tools were missing. Also missing were two red gas cans and a blue grey tote that contained miscellaneous wrench sets and socket sets.

The deputy collected evidence and took photos. Estimated loss value was unknown at the time of this report.

Trespassing in El Dorado Springs

On March 6, a St. Clair County deputy took a call in reference to trespassing. The deputy spoke with Michael Schwalm. Schwalm stated he had Dante Savage working for him. Schwalm stated that Savage’s girlfriend, Marri Barnes, had been coming to the residence and causing some trouble. Schwalm stated he has told Barnes multiple times, on the phone, not to come to the residence. Barnes came to the residence on March 5 looking for her boyfriend. Schwalm advised her to leave the property. Barnes refused to leave the driveway. Schwalm came back to the residence and called law enforcement.

Barnes had left the residence before deputies had arrived on scene.
