ST. CLAIR COUNTY SHERIFF

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made nine arrests and took multiple reports during the weeks of December 22, 2020 through December 28, 2020                                                             

Arrests

Blake Evans – On December 22, Blake Evans, 27, Lake Ozark, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants, and two Missouri Highway Patrol warrants. The first was a St. Clair County Misdemeanor warrant for DWI – Prior. The second was a St. Clair County Misdemeanor warrant for Driving While Revoked/Suspended – 1st Offense. The third and fourth warrants were Missouri Highway Patrol Misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear. The total bond for all warrants was set at $12,500.00 cash or surety.

The arrest was made after a St. Clair County deputy observed the vehicle Blake was the driver of, parked underneath the MO-13 underpass on US-54 Highway. Upon making contact with Blake, the deputy noted a strong odor of intoxicants coming from him. Further investigation noted the multiple Missouri Highway Patrol warrants, and during an interview at the Sheriff’s Office, Blake did admit to drinking before driving the vehicle.

Flint Greer – On December 22, Flint Greer, 31, Stockton, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants for Failure to Appear. The first warrant was for a Felony charge for Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannibinoid, a Misdemeanor charge for Unlawful Possesison of Drug Paraphernalia – Prior Drug Offense, a Misdemeanor charge for Trespass – 1st Degree, and a Misdemeanor charge for Harrassment – 2nd Degree. The second warrant was for a Felony charge for Possession of Protected Species of Wildlife. The total bond was set at $11,500.00 cash or surety.

The original arrest was made after a St. Clair County deputies responded to a call for service in regards to Trespassing in Collins. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Virgie Greer, who reported that Flint had come on the property and made threats to harm the people living there. Upon making contact with Flint, he admitted to having hawk feet in his property, and an investigation of his property revealed two pipes and two syringes, that Flint admitted to being his.

Mary Sheer – On December 22, Mary Scheer, 51, Appleton City, was arrested on a Misdemeanor Charge for Domestic Assault. Mary was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest was made after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to Appleton City in regards to a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Paul Rotert, who reported that after picking up Mary Scheer for the holidays, Mary had threatened to damage property, began to yell, and scratched Paul’s face. Mary was taken into custody at this time, and photographs were taken of Paul’s face.

Matthew Rapp – On December 23, Matthew Rapp, 44, Schell City, was arrested on a St. Clair County Felony warrant for Non-Support – Total Arrears In Excess Of 12 Monthly Payments Due Under Order of Support, after turning himself in at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office. The bond was set at $1,000.00 cash surety.

Cristan Harris – On December 23, Cristan Harris, 38, Lowry City, was arrested on a Felony charge for Tampering with a Witness in a Felony Prosecution. Cristan was held on a 24 hour hold and released pending formal charges.

The arrest was made after St. Clair County deputies received information that Cristan was threatening a witness into delivering a notarized falsified statement in regards to a Felony prosecution. Screenshots of the messages were taken by St. Clair County deputies.

Justin Baker – On December 23, Justin Baker, 17, Lowry City, was arrested on a Felony charge for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle -2nd Degree. Justin was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest was made after Justin was identified as a passenger a stolen vehicle involved in evading law enforcement, and striking law enforcement vehicles. During conversation with a deputy, Justin stated that he was aware they didn’t have permission to take the vehicle, yet did so anyways.

Vanity Wester – On December 24, Vanity Wesker, 23, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Felony charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and a Misdemeanor charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Prior Drug Offense. The bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety.

The arrest was made after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that Vanity was a passenger in, for an equipment violation, and a lane violation. Upon making contact with the driver, John Soto, the deputy noticed both the driver and the passenger, Vanity, were unable to make eye contact, and were shaking uncontrollably. After the deputy was given verbal consent to search the vehicle, the investigation revealed four syringes, a cigar containing marijuana, and a clear SD card container with crystal residue inside of it, that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Vanity admitted to all of the illegal contraband being hers, and was taken into custody at that time.

Thomas Sabastion.jpgSabastion Thomas – On December 25, Sabastion Thomas, 18, Twin Oaks Harbor, was arrested on a St. Clair County Warrant for a Felony charge for Assault – 2nd Degree – Special Victim, a Felony charge for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle – 1st Degree, and a Felony charge for Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop By Fleeing – Creating Substantial Risk of Serious Injury/Death to Any Person. The bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety.

The warrant was issued after a St. Clair County deputy attempted to stop the vehicle Sabastion was the driver of, in regards to a speeding violation. Sabastion failed to yield to the deputy, and proceeded to drive over 100 mph, and pulled into Osceola. The pursuit continued through Osceola Housing, Harper, Iconium, and eventually Twin Oaks Harbor. During the pursuit,

Sabastion struck two St. Clair County patrol vehicles in an attempt to flee, and eventually ended up striking a tree in Twin Oaks Harbor. Thomas fled the vehicle on foot, and was reported to be hiding out in the woods until he turned himself in to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.

Burglary on NE 866 Road

On December 23, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service to NE 866 Road in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Marcia Collins, who reported that the door to the side of her garage was open, and that five metal torches had been stolen. The door had scrape marks around the handle and frame. The deputy took a report alongside photographs of the scene. The torches were valued at $70.00 total.

Structure Fire in Lowry City

On December 27, a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service in reference to a structure fire on NW 101 Road. Upon arriving on scene, the deputy made contact with Lowry City Fire Chief Justin Norris, who reported that there was a trail of an unidentified accelerant that was used to light the house fire. A suspect was named, and photographs of the area were taken alongside the report.

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made seven arrests and took multiple reports during the weeks of December 29, 2020 through January 4, 2021.

Arrests

Bryan Mckim- On December 29th, Bryan Mckim, 46, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a Misdemeanor charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Bryan was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call for service in a regards to a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Bryan Mckim, who was taken into custody after stating he had been huffing Air Duster.

Karen Burch – On December 30th, Karen Burch, 70, Osceola, was arrested on a Felony charge of Domestic Assault – 2nd Degree. Karen was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest was made when St. Clair County deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a possible domestic. It was reported that Karen Burch assaulted her granddaughter, and Karen was taken into custody.

Cristan Harris – On December 31st, Cristan Harris, 38, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Felony charge of Tampering With a Witness in a Felony Prosecution. The bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy received information that Cristan had threatened to damage the property of and sue, a witness in a Felony Prosecution if he/she did not get a falsified statement notarized.

Dakota Johnson – On January 1st, Dakota Johnson, 27, Humansville, was arrested on a Felony charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and a Felony charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Dakota was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle Dakota was the driver of for an equipment violation. K-9 Havik was called, who alerted to the odor of narcotics. The deputy performed a search of the vehicle at this time and located a small plastic bag with a crystal substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Corey Smith – On January 2nd, Corey Smith, 31, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a Felony charge of Domestic Assault – 2nd Degree, a Felony charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, and a Misdemeanor charge of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Corey was held on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest was made when St. Clair County deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a domestic in progress. Upon arrival, deputies took Corey Smith into custody and after they received verbal consent to search the house, St. Clair County deputies discovered multiple pieces of paraphernalia and small baggies that all field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Paul Evans – On January 2nd, Paul Evans, 31, Osceola, was arrested on a Felony charge of Unlawful Use of a Weapon – Subsection 5 – While Intoxicated – Loaded Weapon, and a Misdemeanor charge of Domestic Assault – 4th Degree – 1st or 2nd Offense. Paul was held on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest was made when St. Clair County deputies responded to a domestic in progress. Paul was taken into custody for shoving Brianna Townsend and illegally discharging a firearm while intoxicated.

Korey Wegner – On January 3rd, Korey Wegner, 34, El Dorado Springs, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for a Misdemeanor charge of Assault – 4th Degree – Pursuant to Subdivision (3), a Misdemeanor charge of Kidnapping – 3rd Degree, and a Misdemeanor charge of Stealing. The bond was set at $7,500 cash only.

The arrest was made when a St. Clair County deputy responded to a call in regards to a suspicious person, later identified as Korey Wegner, whom was refusing to leave the property and was being highly aggressive to the property owners.
