Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made ­­­­7 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of September 7th, 2021 through September 13th, 2021.

Devine, Donald- On September 8, 2021, Donald Devine, 62, Quincy, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for defective equipment and was given consent to search the vehicle and drugs were located.

Henderson, Kassie- On September 8, 2021, Kassie Henderson, 43, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for defective equipment and was given consent to search the vehicle and drugs were located.

Webster, Andrew- On September 9, 2021, Andrew Webster, 20, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a St. Clair county warrant for 4th Degree Assault. The bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Martin, Latoya- On September 11, 2021, Latoya Martin, 34, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a warrant out of Jackson County for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault that was extraditable, possessing of a Controlled Substance in a County/ Private Jail. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.

Espinoza, Andrew- On September 11, 2021, Andrew Espinoza, 33, Roeland Park, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest was made after dispatch was notified of a reckless and imprudent driver. Deputies made contact with the driver at a gas station. Multiple deputies attempted to help Espinoza but he was very aggressive and uncooperative. Deputies requested an ambulance to be sent to check on Andrew. Once the ambulance arrived Espinoza became more aggressive and tried to bite deputies on the hand several times and assaulted a member of the ambulance crew.

O’Bryan, Michael- On September 12, 2021, Michael O’Bryan, 62, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a warrant out of St. Clair county warrant for Driving While Intoxicated. The bond was set at $7,500 cash or surety.

Burglary in Lowry City

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival the witness stated that they saw a white dodge extended cab truck loading a generator and several gas cans that did not belong to him. The victim reported that the generator was worth about $1,500. A report of the incident was taken. St. Clair county deputies recovered the generator in the 9000 block of C Highway.

Stealing on County Line of St. Clair and Henry County

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, St. Clair county deputies responded to a call in reference to a stealing in progress located at Coon Creek Bridge at the St. Clair and Henry County line. A witness saw the suspect parked at the bridge stealing re-bar, and notified the owner of the re-bar. The owner of the re-bar followed the suspect while communicating with dispatch. Deputies were advised by dispatch that Henry County deputies had that vehicle stopped south of Clinton, Missouri. St. Clair County deputies arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody. The victim reported that the cost of the re-bar was close to $500.00. After St. Clair county deputies arrived on scene John Jones, 48, Clinton, was arrested for stealing.
