Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made ***____*** arrests and took multiple reports during the week of October 5th, 2021 through October 11th, 2021.

Mckim, Bryan- On October 4, 2021, Bryan Mckim, 47, El Dorado Springs, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for multiple warrants out of St. Clair County. Mckim was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance ($15,000.00 bond, cash or surety), Failure to Maintain Proof of Financial Responsibility($301.00 bond, cash only), Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle ($220.00 bond, cash only), and Speeding ($242.00 bond, cash only).

Carr, Halia- On October 4, 2021, Halia Carr, 55, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a warrant out of Henry County for Burglary in the 1st degree. The bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety.

Stealing in Appleton City

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021 deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property. Upon making contact with the victim, he reported that his 2008 Gulfstream Camper was stolen sometime between September 30th and October 4th, 2021. A report was taken and evidence was collected by deputies. The investigation is still ongoing.
