Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 5 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of October 12th, 2021 through October 18th, 2021.

Harter, Lance- On October 12, 2021, Lance Harter, 36, Aurora, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a Branson Police Department warrant for Possession of Narcotic Equipment. The ordinance bond was set at $500.00 cash or surety.

Schmitz, William- On October 14, 2021, William Schmitz, 38, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for Resisting Arrest. The arrest was made after a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle after being notified by dispatch that the driver had a revoked license and multiple warrants out for his arrest. The deputy also recognized the vehicle from seeing photos of the truck on Facebook for driving through people’s driveways and other suspicious activity. The vehicle matched the description of the suspicious vehicle that was reported to be a gray in color Nisan Titan with a dent in the back. Schmitz failed to yield to the deputies’ emergency lights and sirens when they attempted to make a traffic stop. The deputies followed him down multiple roads and observed Schmitz driving recklessly and over the posted speed limit. Schmitz continued to make multiple turns and abrupt stops to let passengers out of the truck, but soon decided to stop the vehicle on the shoulder of the road where he surrendered and was placed under arrest.

Adams, Elizabeth- On October 14, 2021, Elizabeth Adams, 34, Ravenden, Arkansas, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest was made after a deputy observed a vehicle making multiple lane violations and swerving to stay on the road. A traffic stop was conducted and Adams failed the field sobriety tests done by the deputy.

Nance, Austin- On October 15, 2021, Austin Nance, 26, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for multiple warrants out of St. Clair County. Nance was arrested for 2nd Degree Rape ($50,000.00 bond, cash or surety), 2nd Degree Domestic Assault ($50,000.00 cash or surety), and Tampering with a Witness in a Felony Prosecution ($50,000.00 cash or surety).

Page, Katelin- On October 17, 2021, Katelin Page, 26, Bolivar, was arrested by a St. Clair county deputy for a warrant out of St. Clair County and a warrant out of Henry County. Page was arrested for Failure to Appear (St. Clair County), the bond was set at $330.00 cash only. Page was also arrested for Failure to appear (Henry County), the bond was set at $250.00 cash or surety.

Stealing In Osceola

On Friday, October 15, 2021, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property. Upon making contact with the victim, she reported that a 2017 4×4 four wheeler, a trailer for the four wheeler, an air compressor, and two tool boxes full of tools were missing from her property. A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.

Damaged Property in Osceola

On Monday, October 18, 2021, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to damaged property. Upon making contact with the victim, he stated that he believes that a car ran over the fence while entering the property, then ran the fence over again while exiting the property. Deputies were able to locate multiple pieces of the car left on the property, some contained stickers and numbers that allowed the deputies to trace the car to a Saturn View. The car is believed to be dark blue in color and possibly a 2008-2010 model. The victim stated that he believed that it would cost about $2,000.00 to rebuild the fence.
