Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 5 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of October 19th, 2021 through October 25th, 2021.

Wells, Robert- On October 19, 2021, Robert Wells, 29, Branson, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for speeding over the posted speed limit. An arrest was made after an open air search was done by K-9 Havik and he alerted multiple times to the scent of narcotics in the vehicle.

Bounds, Mary- On October 20, 2021, Mary Bounds, 50, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a domestic disturbance in progress. After deputies spoke to both parties and investigated the scene where the incident occurred, Mary was placed under arrest for the assault.

Parmalee, Ronnie- On October 23, 2021, Ronnie Parmalee, 56, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The arrest was made after a deputy responded to a call for service in reference to suspicious activity. An arrest was made after an open air search was done by K-9 Havik and he alerted multiple times to the scent of narcotics in the vehicle.

Figg, Michelle- On October 24, 2021, Michelle Figg, 44, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest was made after a deputy observed a car in the ditch on Highway 13 and stopped to assist. Deputies made contact with the driver of the car and began asking her questions to ensure she wasn’t harmed from the accident but quickly noticed that Figg was very disoriented. The deputies ensured that Figg was okay and removed her from the vehicle. She was then taken to flat ground and asked to participate in multiple field sobriety tests. Figg failed all the field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

Gannaway, Ashley- On October 15, 2021, Ashley Gannaway, 36, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Driving While Suspended. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for driving without proper illumination of license plate.
