Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 7 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of November 9th, 2021 through November 15th, 2021.

Keith, Porche- On November 10, 2021, Porche Keith, 29, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after a search warrant for the residence was executed and illegal substances were located.

Shelton, Anita- On November 10, 2021, Anita Shelton, 42, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after a search warrant for the residence was executed and illegal substances were located.

Shelton, Larry- On November 10, 2021, Porche Keith, 41, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after a search warrant for the residence was executed and illegal substances were located.

Knight, Travis- On November 10, 2021, Travis Knight, 49, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a warrant out of Clay County and Henry County, for charges of Failure to Appear and Probation Violation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both warrants had a bond set at $5,000.00 cash only. On November 10, 2021, Knight was also charged with 2nd Degree Trespassing, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to someone trespassing.

Wetzel, Megan- On November 11, 2021, Megan Wetzel, 42, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on St. Clair County warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety.

Mansell, Vincent- On November 12, 2020, Vincent Mansell, 41, El Dorado, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on St. Clair County warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Stealing and Trespassing. The bonds were set at $5,000.00 and $10,000.00 cash or surety.

Turley, Zachary- On November 14, 2021, Zachary Turley, 25, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy for Trespassing. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to someone banging on their door and attempting to enter the home.

Stealing in Appleton City

On Monday, November 15th, 2021, St. Clair County Deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property. Upon making contact with the victim, he reported that two rifles and his backpack had been stolen from his vehicle that was parked behind his residence. The firearms that were reported stolen are one Remington 700 BDL 300 Winchester magazine, and one Savage .30-.30 bolt action with a removable magazine. A report of the incident was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.

Stealing in Collins

On Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, St. Clair County Deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property. Upon making contact with the victim, he reported that 4 chainsaws were stolen from the property. The chainsaws were Husqvarna 395 XP with a 54 inch bar, a Husqvarna 395 XP with a 42 inch bar, a Husqvarna 372 with an 18 inch bar, and a Stihl 024 with an 18 inch bar. The victim reported that the stolen items were estimated to be worth aroung $5,000.00 total. A report of the incident was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.
