Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 4 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of February 1st, 2022 through February 7th, 2022.

Tolbert, Jeremy- On January 31, 2022, Jeremy Tolbert, 36, Pleasant Hill, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $300.00 cash only.

Talley, James- On February 2, 2022, James Talley, 36, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Failure to Appear on a class D felony. The bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.

Younce, Lewis- On February 3, 2022, Lewis Younce, 46, Leeton, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for 2nd Degree Domestic assault. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation of the situation, deputies arrested Younce and placed him on a 24 hour hold. While Younce was in custody of the St. Clair County Jail, a warrant was issued and Younce was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant for 2nd Degree Domestic Assault. The bond was set at $20,000.00 cash or surety.

Ribby, Matthew- On February 3, 2022, Matthew Ribby, 33, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Nonsupport. The bond was set at $1,000.00 cash only.

Stolen Property in Appleton City

On February 5th, 2022, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a stolen vehicle. Upon making contact with the victim, he stated that someone stole his 1999 Ford Ranger, gray in color, while he was at work. The victim stated that rear passenger tire would be a spare and the original would be in the bed of the truck. The license plate on the truck is UG6D0M. Deputies took a report and the investigation is still ongoing.
