Text Caster 

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 9 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of February 8th, 2022 through February 14th, 2022.

Evan Biggers- On February 9, 2022, Evan Biggers, 35, Marshfield, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a Laclede County warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.

Robinson, Johnny- On February 9, 2022, Johnny Robinson, 51, Kansas City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Driving While Suspended/ Revoked, No Insurance, and Failure to Register a Vehicle. The bonds were set at $350.00, $304.00, and $225.00, all cash only.

Davis, Trevor- On February 9, 2022, Trevor Davis, 32, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for 1st Degree Burglary. The bond was set at $10,000.00 cash only.

Leuth, Joseph- On February 9, 2022, Joseph Leuth, 21, Independence, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The arrest was made after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for defective equipment and illegal substances were located.

Cottrell, Wayne, On February 9, 2022, Wayne Cottrell, 56, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair Deputy for Domestic Assault. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to harassment. Upon further investigation of the situation, deputies arrested Cottrell and transported him to the St. Clair County Jail. While Cottrell was in custody, a warrant was issued and he was arrested on charges of 2nd Degree Harassment. The bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.

Mccant-Keck, Loyala- On February 10, 2022, Loyola Mccant-Keck, 63, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Felony charges of Financial Exploitation of Elder or Disabled Person. There was no bond set.

Morris, Russell- On February 12, 2022, Russell Morris, 23, Appleton City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $20.00 cash only.

Richey, George- On February 14, 2022, George Richey, Appleton City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for felony charges of Driving While Intoxicated. The bond was set at $3,500.00 cash only.

Rhyne, Hannah- On February 14, 2022, Hannah Rhyne, 36, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Felony charges of Forgery. There was no bond set.

Stolen Property in Collins

On February 12, 2022, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a stolen tool box. Upon making contact with the victim, he stated that someone stole his black tool box. The victim stated that the tool box was a large black tool box designed to be placed in the back of a truck. The tool box was stolen from the victim’s yard and the value was estimated to be $75.00. Deputies took a report and the investigation is still ongoing.
