Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 2 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of March 8th, 2022 through February 14th, 2022.

Martin, Michael- On March 8, 2022, Michael Martin, 50, Strafford, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a St. Clair County warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $222.00 cash only.

Johnson, Schaffer-On March 8, 2022, Schaffer Johnson, 23, El Dorado Springs, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on warrants out of Vernon County, Cedar County, and Probation and Parole warrants. Johnson was arrested on a felony probation warrant with a $5,000.00 cash only bond, a Felony warrant for Family Offense with a $500.00 cash only bond, and a felony Cedar County warrant with no bond.
