Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 4 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of March 29th, 2022 through April 4th, 2022.

Davis, Clarence- On March 29, 2022, Clarence Davis, 53, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a Cedar county warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $200 cash only.

Jones, John- On March 29, 2022, John Jones, 51, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for False Impersonation. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to someone impersonating a game warden and asking people for their fishing and driver’s license. Deputies located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Clark, Ronni- On March 31, 2022, Ronni Clark, 33, Nevada, was arrested by S. Clair County Deputies on a St. Clair County warrant for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. The bond was set at $10,000 cash only.

Ramsey, Joseph- On April 1, 2022, Joseph Ramsey, 32, El Dorado Springs, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on two Bates County warrants for Failure to Appear. The bonds were set at $500 cash or surety, and $10 cash.

Mart. Jeremy- On April 2, 2022, Jeremy Mart, 38, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for reckless driving. Upon making contact with the victim, deputies smelled the odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle. The deputies conducted field sobriety tests and Jeremy was placed under arrest and was transported to the St. Clair County jail.

Dunson, Juan- On April 3, 2022, Juan Dunson, 59, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Stealing. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to shop lifting at Pilot gas station in Collins. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the store manager who informed them that someone took items off the shelf then took them to the shower area without paying. Juan was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Clair County jail.

Burroughs, Virgil- On April 4, 2022, Virgil Burroughs, 26, Appleton City, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for 1st Degree Harassment. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a disturbance. Deputies investigated the situation and placed Burroughs under arrest and a warrant was issued. While Burroughs was in custody of the St. Clair County jail he was arrested on a warrant for 1st Degree Harassment. The bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety.

Hidlebaugh, Devon- On April 4, 2022, Devon Hidlebaugh, 37, El Dorado Springs, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a Higginsville Police Department warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $200 cash or surety.
