Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 5 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of April 12th, 2022 through April 18th, 2022.

Thomas, Yesenia- On April 15, 2022, Yesenia Thomas, 41, Roscoe, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies on a Cass County warrant for Failure to Appear. The bond was set at $400 cash only.

Singleterry, Leta- On April 16, 2022, Leta Singleterry, 28, Schell City, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop for driving over the posted speed limit. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, the deputy smelled the odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle. Field Sobriety tests were conducted by the deputy and Singleterry was placed under arrest.

Chapman, William- On April 16, 2022, William Chapman, 49, Appleton City, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for Operating a Vehicle without a Valid Driver’s License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving with defective equipment. A search was done on the vehicle and illegal substances were located and Chapman was transported to St. Clair County Jail.

Liechti, Brett- On April 18, 2022, Brett Liechti, 31, Carrollton, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for a Seat Belt ticket. The bond was set at $10.00 cash only.

Robertson, Paul- On April 18, 2022, Paul Robertson, 53, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Assault in the 3rd Degree. The bond was set at $5,000.00 cash or surety.

Stolen Vehicle in Appleton City

On April 14, 2022, Deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a vehicle being stolen. Upon making contact with the victim, he advised the sometime during the night his vehicle was stolen from his property. The deputies searched the property for evidence, reported the truck as stolen, and took a report of the situation. Later that day, Deputies received a call from Henry County Deputies stating that the stolen vehicle had been located in their county.
