Arrests and Reports

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of April 22nd through April 28th, 2025.

April 22nd – Stealing in Rural Deepwater   – On April 22nd, a St. Clair County Deputy was contacted in reference to a stolen trail camera on NE 1210 Private Road in Rural Deepwater. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the property owner, who stated someone had stolen his Tactacam Reveal X Cellular trail camera. Evidence was collected from the property owner, and the trail camera was valued at $100. This investigation is ongoing.

April 22nd – Warrant Arrest (Dangerous Drugs)   – On April 22nd, St. Clair County Deputies arrested Harry Tiller at the Greene County Jail on a St. Clair County Warrant. The warrant had an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid. Harry was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

April 23rd – Property Damage in Vista   – On April 23rd, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to the Vista Baptist Church in reference to property damage. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the property owner, who stated someone had struck the church sign with a small vehicle, causing damage to both the sign and the wooden post holding it up. Evidence was collected from the scene, and the sign was valued at $500. This investigation is ongoing.

April 25th – Warrant Arrest (Driving While Revoked)   – On April 25th, St. Clair County Deputies arrested Brian Franklin at the Clay County Jail on a St. Clair County Warrant. The warrant had an original charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Brian was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

April 28th – Assault (Charges Declined)   – On April 22nd, St. Clair County Deputies arrested Brian Franklin at the Clay County Jail on a St. Clair County Warrant. The warrant had an original charge of Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Brian was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Arrests and Reports

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of April 29th through May 5th, 2025.

May 1st – Warrant Arrest (Probation Violation)   – On May 1st, St. Clair County Deputies arrested David Clamp at the Henry County Jail on a St. Clair County Warrant. The warrant was for a Probation Violation that included original charges of Burglary – 2nd Degree and Property Damage – 1st Degree. Harry was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $15,000 cash only.

May 2nd – Found Property in Collins   – On April 22nd, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office for a walk in, in reference to found property. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the citizen who stated that he had found 3 cell phones under a cedar tree on his property on SE 801 Road in Collins, and did not know who they belonged to. The deputy collected the phones, and stored them at the Sheriff’s Office pending locating the original owner.

May 2nd – Stolen Property in Osceola   – On May 2nd, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to Truman Road in Osceola, in reference to stolen property. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the property owner, who stated that earlier in the day, a 194 Stihl Chainsaw was stolen from the back of her Ford F-150. The chainsaw was described as having broken white and orange plastic on it. Multiple suspects were named during this investigation, evidence was collected, and this investigation is ongoing.

May 3rd – Vandalism in Appleton City   – On May 3rd, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to West Walnut Street in Appleton City, in reference to vandalism. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the property owner, who stated that around 12:45 that day, their vehicles and flatbed trailer parked alongside the road were vandalized. Both vehicles parked alongside the road had slashed tires on the side closest to the road and their windshields smashed in. The flatbed trailer also had two slashed tires on the roadside and a suspect was named. The deputy collected evidence and photographs from the scene, and the damage was estimated at $2,000. This investigation is ongoing.

May 5th – Warrant Arrest (Greene County)   – On May 5th, St. Clair County Deputies arrested Damon Cunningham at the St. Clair County Courthouse on multiple Greene County Warrants. The warrants had original charges of Resisting Arrest by Fleeing, Driving While Intoxicated, and Resisting Arrest. Damon was transferred to the St. Clair County Jail, and all of the warrants were issued a Capias Bond.

May 5th – Warrant Arrest (Jackson County)   – On May 5th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to Truman Road in Osceola, concerning an individual with active warrants. Upon arrival, the deputy arrested Timothy Whittmeyer on a Jackson County Warrant. The warrant had an original charges of Burglary – 2nd Degree. Damon was transferred to the St. Clair County Jail, and the bond was set at $10,000 cash only.
