Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.
Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications
We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Textcaster available!

Arrests and Reports
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of June 3rd through June 9th, 2025.
June 3rd – Burglary in Osceola – On June 3rd, St. Clair County Deputies responded to NE 75 Road in rural Osceola, in reference to a possible burglary. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the property owner who stated that in between June 2nd and June 3rd, somebody had broken into his garage and stolen multiple items. The items reported stolen were a 2012 Honda Pioneer side by side, a 025 Stihl Chainsaw, a Dewalt Air Compressor, a Bosch Drill Driver, a Bosch Drill, a Battery Charger, a 4” Bosch Grinder, and a .22 Magnum Marlin. The deputies collected evidence from the scene, took photographs, and filed a report. The value of the stolen items and damaged garage door were totaled at $11,300. This investigation is ongoing.
June 6th – Warrant Arrest (Dangerous Drugs) – On June 6th, St. Clair County Deputies arrested Christopher Jackson at the El Dorado Police Department on a St. Clair County Warrant. The warrant had original charges of Probation Violation – Possession of a Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoid, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Prior Drug Offense, and Stealing. Christopher was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
