ST. CLAIR COUNTY SHERIFF

Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made nine arrests and took a stealing report during the week of April 1-8, 2019.

Warrant Arrests

Johnathon Foster- On April 7, Johnathon Foster, 21, Deepwater, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 10 grams or less and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Foster also has a warrant out of Henry County for a class C felony delivery of a controlled substance. Total bond is set at $4,500 cash or surety.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to Highway 13 in reference to a driver operating their vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner. After observing the driver, the deputy performed a traffic stop on the vehicle. When the deputy made contact with the driver, later identified as Foster, he could smell the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed two partially smoked marijuana cigarettes, a grinder, and a glass pipe.

Jessica Kraft- On April 6, Jessica Kraft, 28, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class A misdemeanor resisting or interfering with arrest/detention/stop and a class A misdemeanor domestic assault in the fourth degree. Kraft was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute at a residence on SE 551 Road in Collins. During the investigation, it was discovered Kraft had pushed the victim and then she tried to push past the deputies to try and get her child.

Carol Wright- On April 6, Carol Wright, 72, Independence, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Bates County warrant for a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The arrest comes after St. Clair County deputies were called to a residence on SE 551 Road in Collins in regards to a domestic dispute. A record check revealed Wright has a warrant out of Bates County.

Brandon Shirley- On April 4, Brandon Shirley, 35, Bonner Springs, KS, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class A felony assault in the second degree. Shirley was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after the victim reported the assault to a deputy and filled out a request for prosecution.

Rebekah Yarbrough- On April 3, Rebekah Yarbrough, 20, unknown, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a Greene County warrant for failure to appear in court and a Pulaski County warrant for failure to appear in court. Total bond is set at $2,500 cash or surety.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that Yarbrough was a passenger in. A record check revealed Yarbrough had the two warrants.

Steven Everett- On April 2, Steven Everett, 42, Kansas City, KS, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class A misdemeanor failure to yield to an emergency vehicle sounding sirens and displaying red/blue lights, a class B misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, and a class D misdemeanor driving while revoked/suspended. Everett was booked and released pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched about a sport motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 13. The deputy pulled in behind the motorcycle and the driver, later identified as Everett, failed to yield to the deputy and took off at a high rate of speed. Everett pulled into Casey’s General Store in Osceola and was taken into custody.

Heather Willmore- On April 2, Heather Willmore, 32, El Dorado Springs, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on two Cedar County warrants for probation violations. These are no bond warrants.

Travis Davis- On April 1, Travis Davis, 32, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after a St. Clair County deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle, that Davis was a passenger in, for a moving violation on Sept. 19, 2018. When the deputy asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, the driver stated there was a marijuana pipe in the console. The deputy was given consent to search the vehicle. During the search, the deputy recovered the marijuana pipe and also found a metal container that contained a white crystal like residue. The residue did field test positive for methamphetamine.

Brent Thomas- On April 1, Brent Thomas, 45, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy for transport to the Missouri Department of Corrections. Thomas was sentenced on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to nine years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Stealing in Osceola

On April 5, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on Highway WW in reference to stealing. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with Vernon Putnam. Putnam stated his wife had seen a suspicious white pickup pull into their driveway. She told her husband about it and Putnam took his vehicle down to see what was going on. Putnam got of his vehicle and could not see anyone. While Putnam was walking back to his vehicle, he noticed the door to the pickup was opened. Putnam got into his vehicle and pulled forward a little. Putnam stated the pickup backed up and swerved around his vehicle striking an antique car parked on his property. Putnam stated the pickup continued south on Highway WW.

Putnam stated he was sure things were stolen, but did not know exactly what at the time.

The deputy took photographs and collected evidence from the scene.
